Answer:

The amount required to plough the land is  ₹ 1925.

Step-by-step explanation:

SOLUTION :

Given :

The cost of fencing of the field which is in the form of a circle = ₹ 2640.

 Rate of fencing per metre = ₹ 12

Cost of fencing = Circumference of the circular  field x Rate of fencing per metre

2640 = Circumference of the circular  field x 12

Circumference of the circular field = 2640/12 = 220m

Let radius of the circular field be r m

Circumference of the circular = 2πr

2πr = 220

2 x 22/7 x r = 220

r = 70/2

r = 35 m

Radius of the circular field = 35 m

Area of the circular field, A = πr²

A = 22/7 x 35 x 35

A = 22 × 5 × 35

A = 110 × 35

A = 3850 m²

Cost of ploughing per m² land = ₹ 0.50

Cost of ploughing 3850 m² land = 0.50 x 3850 = ₹ 1925

Cost required to plough the land = ₹ 1925.

Hence, the cost required to plough the land is  ₹ 1925.
