a field is in the form of a right triangle with hypotenuse 50m and one side 14m. find the area of field

Hypotenuse = 50m
Side = 14m

Let base =b

By pythagoraus theorum,

(H)^2= (b) ^2+(d) ^2

(50)^2=(b) ^2 + (14)^2

2500=(b) ^2 + 196

2500-196= (b) ^2

√2304=b

Since, b= 48.

Now, in ∆ ABC,

Area = 1/2× b × h.

= 1/2 × 48 × 14

= 336 m. Ans
