A field is in the form of trapezium. One of its parallel side is twice the other parallel side and distance between them is 100m. If area of the field is 10500m square find the length of the parallel sides.

let the base be x 
another base parellel to x= 2x
h=100m

area of trap=1/2 h(b1+b2)
10500= 1/2*100 (x+2x)
10500=50(3x)
  
    x=10500/50*3
    x=70

first side =x =70m
second side =2x =70*2 =140m
