We first find the height of the trapezium :

The sides that are not parallel are equal and so is their base.

The total length of the bases of the triangles formed by the two equal sides is :.

25 - 10 = 15m

The base of each is 15/2 = 7.5 m

We will use Pythagoras theorem to get the height :

14² - 7.5² = 139.75

h = √139.75 = 11.82

Area of the trapezium is :

(10 + 25) / 2 × 11.82

17.5 × 11.82 = 206.85
