Answer:

As we know that rhombus is a parallelogram and area of parallelogram is equal to the product of its base and height.

∴ Area of rhombus =base×height

Given:-

Base of rhombus = Side of rhombus =6.5cm

Height of rhombus = Altitude of rhombus =4cm

∴ Are of the given rhombus =6.5×4=26cm square

Hence the area of the given rhomus is 26 sq. cm.

 \LARGE\sf{{Given :-}}

 \sf{{Side \ of \ a \ rhombus \ = \ 6.5 \ cm}}

 \sf{{Altitude \ of \ the \ rhombus \ = \ 4 \ cm}}

 \LARGE \sf{{To \ Find \ :-}}

 \sf{{Area \ of \ the \ rhombus}}

 \LARGE \sf{{Solution \ :-}}

 \sf{{Side \ of \ a \ rhombus \ = \ Base \ of \ a \ rhombus \ = \ 6.5 \ cm}}

 \sf{{Altitude \ of \ the \ rhombus \ = \ Height \ of \ the \ rhombus \ = \ 4 \ cm}}

 \sf{{As \ we \ know,}}

 \sf{{Area \ of \ rhombus \ = \ Base\times Height}}

 \sf{{So,}}

 \sf{{Area \ of \ rhombus \ = \ 6.5\times 4}}

 \sf{{= 26.0 cm^{2}}}

 \sf{{= 26 cm^{2}}}

 \LARGE\sf{{Required \ Answer \ :-}}

 \sf{{Area \ of \ rhombus \ = \ 26 cm^{2}}}

✯ Some Formulas for Rhombus ✯

• Perimeter of a Rhombus = 4(Side)

• Area of Rhombus = Base × Height

Or

Area of Rhombus = {\frac{1}{2}} × Diag.1 × Diag.2

• Side of a Rhombus

= {\frac{\sqrt {(Diag.1)^{2}+(Diag.2)^{2}}}{2}}
