{a} 1. Acidification of soil happens due to excessive use of chemical fertilizers because of decrease in organic matter in the soil. nitrogen applied to fields in large amounts over time damages topsoil resulting in reduced crop yields.

{b} chemical fertilizers help in growing of high yielding varieties of crops. so we can save that chemical fertilizers are necessary for it. it is the second most requirement for yielding HV Y crops
