  • m = m₁ = m₂

=> Initial momentum = 0

=> Final momentum = 0

=> P = 0

=> mv₁ + mv₂ = 0

=> m(v₁ + v₂) = 0

=> v₁ + v₂ = 0

=> v₁ = -v₂

=> 20 = -v₂

=> v₂ = -20 m/s

Hence, the Option C) -20 m/s is the correct answer.
