Adaptabilities are the capabilities of organisms to evolute or make themeselves according to the environment.

From past millions of years fishes live in water because they are now used to it and they have evoluted their hands as fins to live in water also they develop gills to take dissolved oxygen to breathe, whereas a lizard a terrestrial animal have evoluted itself to live on land and take oxygen present in air with the helps of lungs.

It is believed that repitles have originally evoluted from pisces, so maybe many years ago it was possible to live in water for lizards but not now!

i hope it helped u!!
