A five rupee coin is placed on a stiff card covering anempty glass tumbler standing on a table. what will happen when the card given a sharp horizontal flick with a finger ?what will happen when card is pulled slowly? state your answer with reason.

In the first situation, the coin will fall into the tumbler as it wants to maintain inertia. In the second situation, the coin overcomes the inertia and falls outside along the card.
