The area of the floor that is not carpeted is 11sq.m.

Step-by-step explanation:

Length of floor = 5 m

Breadth of floor = 4 m

Area of floor =Length \times Breadth = 5 \times 4 = 20 sq.m.

Side of square carpet = 3 m

Area of square carpet = Side^2 = 3^2 = 9 sq.m

The area of the floor that is not carpeted =20-9 = 11 sq.m.

Hence The area of the floor that is not carpeted is 11sq.m.
