The loss is Rs.22000.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : A florist bought 20 bunches of 10 rose flowers, each bunch for Rs 1200. He sold each flower for Rs.10.

To find : His profit or loss ?

Solution :

Number of flowers in 1 bunch = 10

Cost of one flower = \frac{1200}{10}=Rs.120

Number of flowers in 20 bunches is 20\times 10=200

The cost price of total is

CP=200\times 120

CP=Rs.24000

He sold each flower for Rs.10.

The selling price is

SP = 200\times 10

SP = Rs.2000

As   C.P > S.P

There is a loss.

Loss = CP-SP

Loss = 24000-2000

Loss = Rs.22000

Therefore, the loss is Rs.22000.
