Total number of roses used = 100

Let

No of pink roses used = x

No of yellow roses used = y

So

No of red roses used = 100-(x+y)

Now

1000 = 0.50x + 50y + {100-(x+y)}10

1000 = x/2 + 50y + 1000 - 10x-10y

10x + 10y = (x+100)/2

19x = 80y

This is possible only when x =80 and y = 19

So the number of red roses used will be=

100-(80+19)

= 1
