flower vase can hold 1,408.6  cm³  of soil

Step-by-step explanation:

A flower vase is in the form of a frustum of a cone

The perimeter of its bases are 44cm and 8.4 π

Perimeter = 2 * π r

2 * π r₁   = 8.4 π

=> r = 4.2

2 * π r₂   =  44

=> 2 (22/7) r₂   =  44

=> r₂ = 7

Volume of a frustum of a cone  = (1/3) π (r₁² + r₂²  + r₁r₂) h

= (1/3) (22/7) ( 7²  + 4.2²  + 7 * 4.2) 14

= (44/3)( 49 + 17.64 + 29.4)

= (44/3)(96.04)

= 1,408.6  cm³

flower vase can hold 1,408.6  cm³  of soil
