a flowerist sells 3000 flowers at a profit of 15% if one flower costs him rs5 find the sp of the flower

Cost price of each flower = Rs 5

C.P of 3000 flowers = 3000 × 5

= Re 15000

Selling price ( SP ) = ?

Profit = g = 15%


SP = CP ( 100 + g ) / 100

= 15000 [ ( 100 + 15 ) /100]

= 150 × 115

= Rs 17250

SP of 3000 flowers = Rs 17250

SP of 1 flower = 17250/3000

= Rs 5.75
