A force acting on a particle of mass 200
g displaces it through 400 cm in 2
seconds. Find the magnitude of the
force if the initial velocity of the particle
is zero.

Answer:

C) 0.4 N

Explanation:

Here s= 400cm=4m and u = 0 and t = 2s

s= ut + 1/2×a×t^2

4 = 1/2×a×2^2

4÷2=a

therefore, a= 2m/s^2

hence F= ma

F= 0.2×2

F=0.4
