a force acts on a body of mass 10 kg in the velocity of the body changes from 5 ms-1 to 3 ms - 1 then what is the work done by the force on the body

Work = Change in Kinetic energy
= 0.5m (v² - u²)
= 0.5 × 10 kg × ((3 m/s)² - (5 m/s)²)
= -80 Joule

Work done by force is -80 Joule
Here negative sign indicates that Force is acting in the direction opposite to the motion of body.
