Given :

  • Acceleration of a body = 10 ms¯²
  • Mass of the body = 500 g

To Find :

  • Acceleration caused by the same force in a body of mass 5kg

Formula used :

  • F = ma

Here, F is force, m is mass & a is acceleration.

Solution :

F = m × a

F = 50/1000 kg × 10 ms¯²

F = 0.5 N

According to the question, the same force is applied on a body of 5 kg then,

F = m × a

0.5 N = 5 × a

0.5/5 = a

0.1 ms¯² = a

Therefore, the required acceleration of the body is 0.1 ms¯².
