Real time operating system does all its work fast and in a fixed time . There are 2type of RTOS -

1) Hard RTOS

2) Soft RTOS

hard rtos= it does all it work in a fixed time and very fast. A little delay can cause a large damage. eg car airbags

soft rtos= A delay cannot cause a huge damage

eg loading takes time and there is no damage.
