A force is produce an acceleration of 10 m/s² in a body of mass 0.5 kg of acceleration of 4 metre m/s² in another body .If both the bodies are tied together then how much acceleration will be produced by this force?​

F=ma

m1=.5kg      ,              a1=10        then,

F=.5*10     =      5N

m2=x,                         a2=4    Same force is applied on both object so, F2=5N

F=ma          5N=x*4                       5N/4 =x               F2=1.25kg

Total mass= .5kg + 1.25kg= 1.75kg

Average acceleration = Force/Total Mass

                                      =8N/1.75                    =4.5m/s^2
