Given,

Force = 1500N

Surface area = 5cm

To Find:-

------>Thrust of the surface.

------>Pressure of the surface

Calculations:-

Pressure = Thrust

Pressure = Force/area

=1500/5

=300pascals

Explore More:-

Pressure:-

  • Pressure is the force per unit area.

  • This means that the pressure a solid object exerts on another solid surface is its weight in newtons divided by its area in square metres

  • The unit of pressure is Pascal.

Thrust:-

  • The definition of a thrust is the act of pushing with force.

  • The thrust is generated in the opposite direction from the accelerated gas.

  1. SI unit thrust is Newton (N)

Difference between thrust and pressure:-

  • The total force acting perpendicular on a given surface is called Thrust.

  • Thrust acting upon a unit area is called Pressure.
