A force of 5 N gives mass m1 an accelration of 10 mper second and another mass m2 an acceleration 20m per second what acceleration would it give both the mases were tied together

Unit if acceleration is m/sec^2 (meter per second square). We know F=Ma
5=M1*10
M1=1/2kg

5=M2*20
M2=1/4kg

M1+M2=3/4kg

5=3/4*a
a=20/3 m/sec^2
