A force of 50 N is acting at an angle of 30° with horizontal.Find its horizontal and vertical components​

Answer:

HORIZONTAL FORCE = 50 N

Horizontal component of Force is :

Horizontal Force = Force × cos 30°

Horizontal Force = 50 N × cos 30°

Horizontal Force = 50 N × (√3/2)

Horizontal Force = 25√3 N

∴The horizontal component is 25√3 N.

 

VERTICAL FORCE = 30⁰

Vertical component of Force is :

Vertical Force = Force × sin 30°

Vertical Force = 50 N × sin 30°

Vertical Force = 50 N × (1/2)

Vertical Force = 25 N

∴ The vertical component is 25 N
