A force of 50N is applied on a nail. The area of the head tip of the nail is 0.005cmsquare and 0.001 cm square respectively. Calculate the pressure exerted on the head and on the tip of the nail

area at head = 0.005 cm² = 0.00005 m²

p = force/area = 50/0.00005 = 1,000,000 N

area at tip = 0.001 cm² = 0.00001 m²

p = 50/0.00001 = 5,000,000
