in the question friction is also present. because if friction wasn't there the external force would have produced acceleratation.
but here the external force of 50N is used to cancel out friction so the car moves at constant speed. So friction is also 50N
(constant speed = no acceleration)
now for acceleration 2m/s2
F net = m a
F - 50 = 500 x 2
F = 1050N
