A force of 6 Newton produces an acceleration of 8m/s Square on a mass m1 and an acceleration of 12m/s Square on a mass k2. What acceleration would the same force produce if both the masses are tied together.

We know that F=ma
for first object F=6,a=8
Now m=F/a=6/8
for second object F=M1 a
M1=F/a=6/12=1/2
When combined M=M1+m
Hence 6=(M1+m)×a1
A1=6×4/5=24/5
