a force of 600 newtons is applied to the end of a spanner. the perpendicular distance between the nut and the working line of the force is 30 cm. calculate the torque on the spanner and the work done when the nt is turned through an angle of 60 degree

w=fscos(angle)

f=600n

s=30cm=0.3m

cos60=1/2

600x0.3x1/2

----> 90 Nm

hope that helped

Moment or torque = F × S cos theta

moment = 600 × 0.3× 0.5
= 90Nm

Hope it helps...
