let denominator is X then numerator = X-2
then fraction will be X-2/X
when (X-2+3) = (X+1)
and (X+5) denominator
according to question (X+1)/(X+5)= 3/5
5X+5=3X+15
2X = 10 or X = 5
fraction is 3/5
