Dear Diary
You know my friend Raju, don’t you? Remember, I have told you about his passion for computer games. Sadly, he is becoming hooked to this and sit up late night almost every day before the computer to play a game. Because of this, he is not able to wake up early and come to the first hour of class in the morning. This has been happening for the past three to four months and he keeps telling me to tell the teacher that he is not well. As he stays as a paying guest with me and his parents are not with him, they do not know what he is doing.
I have had enough of covering up for him. I just cannot bring myself to lie for him anymore. I am going to tell this to him. The next time the teacher asks me about him, I will say he was up late last night at the computer. I don’t know how this will affect our friendship, but I think this is the only way, I can make him understand that what he is doing is wrong. What do you think?
