Let the price of cost price of one mango be x.

When it is sold at a profit of 25% the selling price will be :

1.25x

If the selling price increases by one the profit becomes 50%.

Thus :

1.25x + 1 = 1.5x

1.5x - 1.25 x = 1

0.25x = 1

x = 1/0.25

x = 4

The price at first is :

1.25 × 4 = 5

Rs 5
