a fruit seller bought 600 bananas at $ 16 a dozen. He sold 200 of them at 4 for $ 5 and the remaining at 2 for $ 3. Find his gain or loss per cent ​

Answer:

1 dozen = $16

50 dozen = 16×50 = 800$

200/4 = 50

4 bananas = $5

200 bananas = 200/4 × 5 = 250

2 bananas = $3

400 bananas = 400/2 × 3 = 600

SP = 600 + 250 = 850

SP > CP

gain = SP - CP = 850 - 800 = 50

gain % = [ gain/CP × 100 ]

50/800 × 100 = 6.25%

SOLUTION : 6.25 %
