35.) BC+CD=BD

BC=BD-CD

let BC be x meter

BD=(40+x)meter

In triangle ABD

AB/BD= tan45⁰

AB=40+x------------(i)

In triangle ABC

AB/x = tan60⁰

AB=root3x----------(ii)

comparing (i) and (ii)

40+x-root3x

40=root3x-x

40/root3=x-x

(23.09=AB) or (40/root3meter)

BC=40root3×root3

= 40/root3×root3

=40meter

36) Given the tower is 30m away from point A.

Given angle of elevation of top of tower is 30.

Let the height of tower be x

tan30=BC/AB

=1/root3=x/30

x=30/root3×root3/root3

=(30×root3)/3

threfore ,,, height of tower =10root3=10×1.732

=17.32

37) Here AC is a ladder and AB is the height of wall.

BC=2m

Now, tan60=AB/BC

root3=AB/2

therefore, AB=2 root3 metre
