A fruit seller buys 2 lemons in 1 rupees and 5 lemons in 3 rupees.Find the profit percent​

Here's solution

We know that cost price(cp) of 2 lemons is 1 RS.

Now, he sells 5 lemons at 3 RS

So,

5 lemons =3 RS

2 lemons = x RS

By cross multiplying we get

5x= 6 & x=6/5

Therefore, Selling price(sp) of 2 lemons is 6/5 RS

Now Profit% = (sp-cp/cp) *100

=(6/5–1/1)*100

=1/5*100

=20%

So profit earned by seller is 20%
