A fruit vendor purchased 35 dozen apples at 10 per dozen. Out of this two dozen
rotten and he sold 28 dozen at 12 per dozen. Remaining apples were sold by
15 per dozen. The profit he made in this bargain is-​

.•. 35×10

=350

Total Cost price is 350

Now, he rotten 2 dozen out of 35 dozen then he sold 28 dozen of apples at rs. 12.

.•. 28×12

= 336

Then remaining 5 dozen apples he sold at

.•. 5×15

= 75

Now, total selling price is (336+75) = 411

.•. Profit= (selling price - cost price)

= (411-350)

= 61

Hence, The Profit is 61 rupees.
