let the no of oranges bought= 40x
so cost of 20x oranges bought at 4 for 1= 5x
and cost of 20x oranges bought at 5 for 1= 4x
total cost of 40 x oranges =9x
sp = 40x/9*(2)= 80x/9
loss= 9x- 80x/9= x/9
loss percentage= (x/9)÷(9x) *100= 100/81
so cost of 20x oranges bought at 4 for 1= 5x
and cost of 20x oranges bought at 5 for 1= 4x
total cost of 40 x oranges =9x
sp = 40x/9*(2)= 80x/9
loss= 9x- 80x/9= x/9
loss percentage= (x/9)÷(9x) *100= 100/81
