let the fruitseller bought x oranges.
so, for the first time,
cp of 4 oranges = rs. 10.
so, cp of x/2 oranges = rs. 10x /8.
again, for the second time,
cp of 5 oranges =rs. 10
so cp of x/2 oranges = rs. x.
so, total cp of x oranges = rs. 10x/8 +x = 18x/ 8.
now, sp of 9 oranges = rs.20
so sp of x oranges = rs. 20x/9.
so , loss= Rs. 18x/8 -20x/9=Rs 162 x -160x /72 = Rs 2x/72 =Rs x/36.
so, loss% = x/36÷18x/8 ×100%
=1.23 %
