SP = x + 40x/100
= Rs 140x/100
He offers 15% discount
= 15/100 × 140x/100
= 21x/100
Final SP
= 140x/100 - 21x/100
= 119x/100

Profit = SP - CP
= 119x/100 - x
= 19x/100

Profit% = P/CP × 100
= 19x/100 ÷ x × 100
= 19%
