A galvanometer resistance of 50 ohm gives full scale deflection with a current of 5 mA resistance of o.1M ohm is connected in series to convert it into vlot meter, find the range of voltmeter obtained .​

Solution,

The equt circuit diagram of

voltmeter will be

So,

15 = 5 x 10-³ (a+s) [onm's law]

⇒ 3000 = 50+ s

⇒ 2950 Ω = s

So, a 2950 resistor should

be combined in series with galvanometer to convert it in to voltmeter.
