Area of remaining garden = 8814 m

Area of garden = l × b = 120 × 85 = 10200 m

Area of garden excluding path = l × b

                                                    = 120 - (3.5 + 3.5) × 85 - (3.5 + 3.5)

                                                    = 113 × 78

                                                     = 8814 m

Therefore, Area of path = Area of garden - Area of garden excluding path

                                        = 10200 - 8814

                                        = 1386 m

And, Area of remaining garden = Area of garden excluding path = 8814 m
