A garden is 15x10 m. It has a 2.5 m wide flower bed all round outside it. There is also a 2.5 m
wide grassy path all round and outside the flower bed. Find the area of the flower bed and grassy
path respectively.

Step-by-step explanation:

area of flower bed is length*breadth =15+2*2.5   *     10+2*2.5

                                 = (15+5) * (10+5)

                                  = 20*15 =300 sq.m (ans).

area of the grassy path= length*breadth= (20+2*2.5)* (15+2*2.5)

                                                                    =  25*20=500 sq.m (ans).
