Given,
length of the garden=44m
breadth of the garden= 40m

Area of the garden= length × breadth
= 44m × 40m
= 1760m²

We know that,
length of the path= 44m + 2.5m + 2.5m = 49m
breadth of the path=40m + 2.5m + 2.5m= 45m

Area of the garden along with the path= length × breadth
= 49m × 45m
= 2205m²

therefore, area of the path= area of the garden along with the path - area of the garden
= 2205m² - 1760m²
= 445m²
