Answer:

the area of strip is 380 m²

and perimeter of new field is 198 m

Step-by-step explanation:

length of field is 56 m

breadth of field is 35 m

∴ area of this filed = length × breadth

= 56 x 35

= 1960 m²

the dimension of field was extended by 4m

∴ new length = 56 + 4

= 60m

new breadth = 35 + 4

= 39m

∴ area of this new field = l x b

= 60 x 39

= 2340 m²

∴ area of strip = 2340 m² - 1960 m²

= 380 m²

perimeter of new field = 2 (l +b)

=2 ( 60 +39)

= 2(99)

= 198m
