Inner Length = 90 m
Inner width = 80 m
Inner Area = 80*90
= 7200 m^2
Outer length = 100 m
Outer width = 90 m
Outer Area = 100 * 90
= 9000 m^2
Area of path = Outer Area - Inner Area
= 9000 - 7200
= 1800 m^2
Hope it help you

After building a path, a new rectangle is formed of lenght =90+5+5=100m, breadth =80+5+5=90
Area of new rectangle =90*100=9000m²
Area of old rectangle =80*90=7200m²
Area if path =9000-7200=1800m²
