Que. A garden is in shape of a square of side length 40m..now if a man runs around the garden in such a way that his distance from the side of a square is 1m..how much distance will he travel after 1 round?
After analysing the question
let us draw the figure of the field and also the path on which the man will run.
Then after analysing the figure we will come to the conclusion that the path on which the man would run will also be a square. And the side of the newly formed square will be of 42 cm.
(1 + 40 + 1)m
= 42m
Now,
The distance man will travel will be equal to the perimeter of the outer square formed ( the path on which the man will run).
Perimeter of square = 4 × side
= 4 × 42 m
= 168 m
So,The distance man will travel will be equal to 168 metre.
Answer:
Side of the square = 40 m
The man would also be run on the square .
So, the side of newly formed square will be :-
1m + 4p0m + 1m
= 42 m ............[1]
Hence , The perimeter of the newly formed square will be
Perimeter of square = 4 × side
perimeter = 4 × 42
Perimeter = 168 m.........[Answer]
