Answer:

The total number of books in the library are 250,000

Explanation:

Let us suppose total number of books in a library be x

In a library 30% books are in English

Number of books are in English = 30% of x

\text{Number of English books}=0.30x

Remaining books in library = x - 0.30x = 0.70x

In library 60% of the remaining books are in hindi

Number of books are in Hindi = 60% of 0.70x

\text{Number of Hindi books}=0.60\times 0.70x\Rightarrow 0.42x

Remaining books in library = x - 0.30x - 0.42x = 0.28x

In library 25% of the remaining books are in Sanskrit.

Number of books are in Sanskrit = 25% of 0.28x

\text{Number of Sanskrit books}=0.25\times 0.28x\Rightarrow 0.07x

Remaining books in library are in other languages = 52,500

According to question we get an equation

English + Hindi + Sanskrit + Other = x

0.30x+0.42x+0.07x+52500=x

0.79x+52500=x

0.21x=52500

x=25000

Thus, The total number of books in the library are 250,000
