Let the number of roses be x.
Therefore, number of sunflowers = (3x-17)
and number of marigolds = (x+20)
Now,
x + (3x-17) + (x +20) = 328
=> x +3x + x + 20 - 17 = 328
=> 5x + 3 =328
=> 5x = 328 - 3
=> 5x = 325
=> x = 325/5
=> x = 65
Therefore the number of rose planted was 65 ,
178 sunflowers were planted and 85 marigolds were planted.
Therefore, number of sunflowers = (3x-17)
and number of marigolds = (x+20)
Now,
x + (3x-17) + (x +20) = 328
=> x +3x + x + 20 - 17 = 328
=> 5x + 3 =328
=> 5x = 328 - 3
=> 5x = 325
=> x = 325/5
=> x = 65
Therefore the number of rose planted was 65 ,
178 sunflowers were planted and 85 marigolds were planted.
