Let the number of rows be x

Let the number of rows be xSo the number of trees in each row is 2x

Consider the above figure as an example.

Consider the above figure as an example.Assume each box to be a tree.

Consider the above figure as an example.Assume each box to be a tree.The length would be the number of trees in a row.

Consider the above figure as an example.Assume each box to be a tree.The length would be the number of trees in a row.The breadth would be the number of rows.

Consider the above figure as an example.Assume each box to be a tree.The length would be the number of trees in a row.The breadth would be the number of rows.So the number of trees would be the area of the land.

Consider the above figure as an example.Assume each box to be a tree.The length would be the number of trees in a row.The breadth would be the number of rows.So the number of trees would be the area of the land.Eg. If no. of rows were 3, no. Of trees in each row would be 6, and the no. Of trees would be 3×6=18 trees.

Now, back to our scenario.

The length is 2x.

The breadth is x.

And the area is 5408.

So (2x)(x)=5408.

2x^2=5408

x^2=5408/2

=2704

So x^2=2704.

x=√2704

=52.

So the number of rows is 52.

That means the number of trees in each row would be:

2x= 2(52)=104

So there are 104 trees in each row.

Still not convinced?

Still not convinced?Here's your proof:

There are 104 trees in each row, with the number of rows being 52.

There are 104 trees in each row, with the number of rows being 52.As per multiplication, you add 104 52 times or 52 104 times.

There are 104 trees in each row, with the number of rows being 52.As per multiplication, you add 104 52 times or 52 104 times.Or, just simply... 104×52.

With the given information , we can include that

Let,

Row = x and Trees = 2x

\\

As we know that ,

Each row contain twice as many trees as there are rows.

= 2x × x = 5408

= {2x}^{2}=5408

= {x}^{2} = \displaystyle\frac {5408}{2}

=  x = \sqrt {2704}

= x = 52

\\

So the number of trees in each row = 52
