AD is altitude of an triangle

so,AD perpendicular BC

AB=AC

to show:AD bisect A

proof:

In triangle ABD and ACD

angle ADB= angle ADC each 90

AB =AC- given

AD= AD common

therefore

triangle ABD = triangle ACD --- RHS

so, angle BAD = angle CAD ---- CPCT

i.e. AD bisect A.
