Question : A gardener wants to fence a circular garden of diameter 21m. Find the length of thewire , if he makes 5 rounds of fence. Also,find the cost of the wire, if it costs a 6 per m.

Length of wire = 330 metre.

Cost of fencing wire = ₹1980.

\huge\star{\green{\underline{\mathrm{Solution: -}}}}

Diameter = 21

Circumference of circle = 2πr Or πd

Circumstance of circular garden = πd

= π × 21

= \large{\mathrm{ \frac{22}{7} }} × 21

= 66 metre.

Length of fire when it makes 5 rounds = 66 × 5

= 330 metre .

Cost of fencing the wire at ₹6 per metre = 330 × 6

= ₹ 1980 .

Hence, the total length of fencing wire = 330 metre.

And the total cost of fencing wire = ₹ 1980 .

Additional information :

radius = half of diameter.

Circumference of circle = 2πr Or πd

Area of circle = π × \large{\mathrm{r^2}} .
