Let the number of plants in each row be x

Number of plants in square = area = x²

now, x²+8 = 8289
⇒x² = 8289 -8
       =8281
⇒x =√8281 = 91

So, there were 91 plants planted in each row.

if 8 plants left then

8289 - 8 = 8281

So, root of 8281 is:-

91. (Side of each square is same)

Then the number of each plant in a row is 91.
