A gas Occupies 1500cm^3 at 720mm of mercury . Find at what temprature it's volume is 1000 cm^3 . Assume temprature remains Contant during experiment .

initial volume of gas ( V1 ) = 1500cm^3
initial pressure of gas ( P1 ) = 720 mm of Hg

Final volume of gas ( V2 ) = 1000cm^3
Final pressure of gas ( P2 ) = ?

By Boyle's Law : P1V1 = P2V2

» P2 = P1V1/V2

»» 720×1500/1000

➡ 1080 mm of Hg . is the required answer .

P1V1 = P2V2

P2 = 720×1500÷1000

= 1080 mm of Hg .
